Symptoms



Linux Operation system

Filesystems been backed up reside on LVM

NetWorker Snapshot Manager version 9.x

Error from brc*debug.raw

Internal Error: Failed to get status of import operation. reason Import failed on <datamover_host>

Error from nsrsnap*debug.raw

Command returned error [2]. Output is [vgimportclone:Error during execution of the command. Error Detail = Fatal: Could not run lvm binary 'lvm']

Note: This article does not apply if the previous two errors are not found in the Debug logs.

Cause

Issue due to lvm command not found at the DataMover host by vgimportclone LVM's command/script.

Resolution

  1. Login to the DataMover
  2. Create a soft link to allow vgimportclone to access lvm:
    • ln -s /sbin/lvm /bin/lvm
