Instructions

The Avamar REST API is available for use with Avamar v7.0 and later.

REST API documentation is available on the Avamar Server documentation page.

For Avamar v7.0 - v18.1:

Before a customer can use the REST API, an RPQ must be submitted for qualification by the Product Management and Engineering teams.

The RPQ ensures that the use case which the REST API is being considered for is appropriate. It also ensures that the user is provided with the necessary materials.

For more information about how to submit an RPQ, contact your local account manager.

For Avamar v18.2 and later:

With 18.2 and later, REST-API is installed natively and no longer requires RPQ. Previous versions continue to require RPQ until upgraded.

For these versions, documentation can be found on the same Avamar Server documentation page titled "REST API Getting Started Guide".
